  Bonnie enjoyed her family and friends, crafts, decorating for the luncheons at church, having coffee or eating out with friends, and collecting Santas. She was a member of the American Legion Auxilliary, Barrett Study Club, Senior Citizens, Barrett C&C, and Peace Lutheran Church, where she belonged to the Ladies Aide. Most recently, Bonnie was busy raising funds to renovate the Barrett Lakeside Pavilion. Music for the service was provided by Kay Weigand as organist, "Amazing Grace", a trumpet duet by grandsons David and Jon Hjelle, and "Eagle As She Flies" by vocalist Carol Winter. Congregational hymns were "On Eagle's Wings", "In the Garden", and "Lift High the Cross".
